About Prescription Drug Nation

A musical exploration of the effects of some of the most ubiquitous prescription drugs, Prescription Drug Nation uses a variety of guitar combinations (classical, steel string, and electric) to simulate the mental, emotional, and physical sensations that a drug user might experience. The full piece will include six music/dance portraits and will be presented with Here Now Dance at San Francisco’s ODC Theater.

Program

  • Adderall
  • Ambien (premiere)
  • Xanax (premiere)

In addition, Mobius will be performing Luciano Chessa’s newest work, Blind Date, based on a story of gay pulp fiction author/icon Victor Banis’s experience with an FBI agent.
